Microsoft Copilot Just Got a Major Upgrade—and It’s Coming for Your Workflow
Microsoft is now testing a major update to its AI assistant Copilot on Windows—and for video pros, this could be a big leap forward.
Copilot Vision is no longer limited to the Edge browser. It’s expanding to any app on your PC. That means AI can now see your screen and interact with the tools you’re using—whether you’re editing in Adobe Photoshop, cutting in Clipchamp, or reviewing a VFX shot.
For producers and editors, this isn’t just smart search—it’s visual AI coaching. Think real-time help navigating software, optimizing workflows, and possibly even analyzing your shots.
This could mean fewer Google searches, faster onboarding for junior team members, and smarter collaboration during posts.
The future of creative production is evolving—are we ready to edit with AI watching?

Microsoft Copilot Vision is currently being developed and tested for Windows 11, tightly integrated into the Windows OS. It relies on system-level access that isn’t available (or allowed) on macOS.
However, you can still use Microsoft Copilot in a few ways on Mac:
Copilot in Microsoft 365 apps (like Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – works in Office for Mac if you have a Microsoft 365 subscription with Copilot access.
Copilot on the web – via copilot.microsoft.com or through Edge/Chrome browsers.
Teams & Outlook Copilot features – if you’re using the Microsoft 365 ecosystem on Mac.
