5th Avenue Kitchen FAQ
What makes the 5th Avenue Kitchen ideal for filming and events?
This kitchen blends sleek design with functionality in a beautiful Flatiron loft setting. It features wide-plank hardwood floors, stainless steel countertops, and a center island perfect for cooking shows, lifestyle shoots, or upscale events. The combination of modern design and natural light makes it especially photogenic.
What is the size of the space, and what is its layout like?
The kitchen is part of a spacious loft that features an open floor plan, high ceilings, and tall windows. The layout allows for versatile camera setups, seamless movement for cast and crew, and additional space for video village, hair and makeup, or catering staging.
Is this kitchen fully functional, or is it just for show?
It is a fully functional kitchen. The space includes an oven, gas range, refrigerator, and dishwasher, along with stainless steel work surfaces. It is designed to support actual cooking while still presenting beautifully on camera.
What kind of productions is it best suited for?
The 5th Avenue Kitchen is perfect for high-end cooking segments, commercials, influencer content, lifestyle photo shoots, and even branded dining events or chef showcases. Its elegant interior elevates any visual production.
Does the kitchen get natural light?
Yes. Large windows bring in abundant natural light during the day, making it ideal for daylight shoots. You also have the option to control lighting with diffusion, blackouts, or supplemental production lighting.
Are any prep areas or additional spaces available?
Yes. The space includes an adjacent lounge and open living area, which can be used for holding, client space, or as additional shooting zones. There is also a separate restroom and optional dressing area.
Is the location easily accessible for the crew and equipment?
Absolutely. Located in Manhattan’s Flatiron District, the building offers elevator access and is close to multiple subway lines. Load-in and load-out are straightforward for medium-sized productions.
Can the kitchen be styled or rearranged?
Yes. While the space has a polished look, furniture and small appliances can be repositioned with prior approval. The modular center island also provides some flexibility depending on your production needs.
Are sound considerations important for this space?
The loft is not soundproof, so while it is quiet for most uses, it may not be ideal for ultra-sensitive audio recording during high-traffic hours. Crews often work around this by using sound blankets and controlled shooting windows.
How do I book a reservation at the 5th Avenue Kitchen?
You can reach out via the contact form on the kitchen’s page to provide your shoot details. The team will help coordinate availability, pricing, and any additional needs such as crew, gear rental, or catering.
